Looking for some Friday night fun with your family? Too tired to cook, but don’t want to spend a fortune going out or ordering in? Come join us for a home-cooked meal at Cedar Park and stick around for a movie we all can enjoy. Don’t stay home alone when we can enjoy being together:  It’s F4 time!

Our F4 2010 kick-off will be on Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Feel free to arrive a bit earlier if you would like to join the kitchen crew. The cost of the evening is a donation, with the suggested price being $5 for adults and $3 for children 5 and over. More information, including the menu and film title, will be coming your way as the date approaches! Our next F4 evenings are October 22 and November 5.

Rev. Elisabeth Jones will be leading another evening Bible study/exploration series, for six Wednesdays, Sept 15 – Oct 20 at 7:30 at Cedar Park. Topic: “Just who is this (Old Testament) God anyway?” Looking at portrayals of God (the good, the bad, and the ugly, from loving shepherd to vengeful overlord and everything in between), we will discuss the ways in which writers of the Old Testament have tried to make sense of their experience of God. We will also explore the impact these images of God have had on our own personal and collective faith.
ALL are welcome – no previous experience necessary!

Choral Voice Workshop, Sunday, Sept. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Given by Douglas Knight, these well-attended workshops are directed to anyone who likes to sing, wants to start, wants to improve, and needs to know the do’s and don’ts; a must for the novice chorister, a helpful refresher for the experienced. Cedar Park’s giant fundraising Treasure Hunt Sale is slated for September 18. What sort of knick knacks, small furniture, antiques, collectibles, handicrafts, artwork, tools, and other treasures would you like to sell? This is a high-end garage sale where you price and tag your own items on consignment. We’ll need lots of helpers to display everything. Can we count on you? We’ll also happily accept donations effective immediately.
